In the article 'Second life, second identity', Martine Boer and Holger Wandt address the following question: What do consumers know about the security of their data in community networks, such as the phenomenally popular Second Life? Essent Kabelcom hits a homerun with HIquality
Essent Kabelcom, a Dutch-based provider of Internet, Digital Television and Telephony, recently started their Homerun initiative. Homerun is an internal program, designed to improve their customer services and shorten their time-to-market. Essent is making a shift from a product-oriented organization towards a customer centric organization.
Part of this process is to integrate the existing applications into new systems, in order to create one single view of the customer. In the first phase of Homerun the customer data will be migrated in such a way that the new systems will contain clean and up-to-date information. Human Inference has been asked to help in the cleaning-process during the migration. For this, we have implemented a Move & Improve process to make sure that name and address are correct according to agreed standards, match the existing records and contain no double entries.
